The Board of Trustees 2007-2009
Dr. Ruperto S. Sangalang Dr. RUPERTO S. SANGALANG, is Cavite State University’s long-time President; served as member of AACCUP Board of Trustees for several terms. He is also a member of the NNQAA Board of Trustees, and of CHED’s TWG on Quality Assurance- Accreditation, TWG on Strengthening of HEI Management Capacity Program of the HEDF, and TWG for Autonomous and Deregulated HEIs

  Dr. NELSON T. BINAG is AACCUP Vice-President, and currently the President of Sultan Kudarat Polytechnic State College (SKPSC) in Tacurong City. He has been with the AACCUP Board for several years already and was a forerunner in introducing innovations in AACCUP operations/policies. He is currently the President of MASUC.

Dr. MARCELA T. CALUSCOSIN is the Director of Instruction of the Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU) and AACCUP’s re-elected Secretary.

Dr. Caluscosin also serves as Overall Coordinator in accreditation visits all over the country.

  Dr. DANILO S. HILARIO “keeps the purse” of AACCUP. He is Bulacan State University’s Vice-President for Planning, Research and Extension. A veteran AACCUP accreditor and trainor, he has served as Overall Coordinator of many accreditation survey visits and as a veteran Trainor of accreditors.

Dr. ESTER B. VELASQUEZ is the President of Cebu Normal University (CNU) and con-currently AACCUP Auditor.

She brings a wealth of experience in accreditation from both the public and private education sectors.

Dr. MIRIAM S. CERVANTES
is a senior faculty member of the Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU). She is one of AACCUP Newsletter contributing editors, a seasoned team leader of accreditation survey visits and a regular member of the training staff.

One of the elected AACCUP Auditors for the next two years, she is also a member of the APQN-constituted committee on Qualifications Framework from five countries

  Dr. GRACE G. LOPEZ was the Director of Instruction of the University of Southern Mindanao in Kabacan, Cotabato when she was elected Trustee in February 2007.

She is now President of the Davao Oriental State College of Science and Technology in Mati, Davao Oriental.

Dr. BRIGIDA A. ROSCOM
, is a Senior Faculty of the Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology in Iligan City (MSU-IIT). A specialist in the field of statistics, she is a high caliber Accreditor having been assigned as Over -all Coordinator and Team Leader in many accreditation stints all over the country.

Dr. Roscom was mainly responsible for the enhancement of the rating system in the Master Survey Instrument.

Dr. ROSANA GRACE B. BELO, is the Dean of the Graduate School of West Visayas State University (WVSU).

A dedicated accreditor, she has been assigned as Team Leader to evaluate nursing programs all over the country.

  Dr. MARIA TERESA S. J. VALDEZ is a neophyte in the AACCUP Board. Dr. Valdez is the Dean of the Institute of Education, and Chair of the Internal Assessment Body of the Tarlac College of Agriculture (TCA) in Camiling, Tarlac. She has been an AACCUP accreditor for seven years and serves as Trainor and Overall Coordinator in accreditation survey visits.

  DR. RAUL F. MUYONG is the energetic Campus Director of Western Visayas College of Science and Technology (WVCST)'s Miag-ao Campus in Iloilo, a position he has held since 2002. Virtually the youngest in the field of accreditation, he trained only last August 2005. His experience however as administrator and evaluator enables him to bring substantial inputs to BOT meetings.

  Dr. MANUEL T. CORPUS is “the think-tank” of AACCUP and is popularly known as “Mr. AACCUP.” He has been the agency’s Executive Director for the past 8 years and has been at the forefront of quality assurance in Philippine education for more than 20 years. He presently spearheads the pioneering efforts for Institutional Accreditation in the country.
